Key Responsibilities

  • To work with the Finance Director, Home Office and Senior Responsible Officers to set budgets and monthly forecasts.
  • Produce management pack with commentary on any findings with regards to variances and monthly accounts.
  • Collate and report monthly spend and variances to support improved financial planning with limited grant availability.
  • Monitor and review spend against all grant income streams within the company
  • Help support and drive through efficiencies in process across the financial sphere.
  • Work with the Finance Director to help drive through efficiencies in spend across the company
  • Recommend and help deliver service improvement plans to help drive forward efficiencies within the finance Function
  • Work with Commercial to ensure Value for money and compliance in relation to spend.
  • Ensure the financial awareness of the management team is enhanced through the provision of advice, assistance and knowledge management.
  • Have the flexible attitude to support the wider finance function to deliver

What you need to succeed in the role

  • Part or fully Qualified ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA
  • Experience working as a management accountant used to working and advising a senior leadership team
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and a team player willing to get involved and help out the function as a whole
  • Able to work independently and autonomously
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
