Sales Assistant Market Trader

We are looking for a sales assistant for our local weekly markets in Truro, St Ives and other local areas.


You must have your own car and able to transport several large storage boxes. Millage and parking is reimbursed with monthly pay.

Start date will be ASAP and shifts will be 8am - 5pm on Wednesday, Thursday and most Saturdays. Potentially Friday's from May.

You will be expected to collect your stock and gear from our kitchen. This can be the night before or the morning of the event. You will then need to set up the stall, serve customers and maintain stock levels for the day. You will need to return stock and gear to the kitchen. Once again this can be the same day or next.

No experience is necessary as full training will be given.

Desirable Skills/Attributes:
Confidence serving customers

Answering questions regarding allergens - we have a folder to refer to

Happy to work alone

Cash handling

Basic smart phone/app literate - for taking payments

Able bodied - you need to able pick up and move tables, heavy boxes ect.

Comfortable working outside and on your feet all day - although you will be sheltered from most of the weather you will need to dress appropriately

Friendly / Approachable

Problem solver
