Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf North Northamptonshire Council for a Gardener/Gravedigger/Driver to undertake a range of duties within the Grounds Maintenance Unit associated with horticultural tasks, grass cutting and grave digging.

Litter picking and emptying litter bins, operating pedestrian grounds equipment, tree watering, driving NNC vehicles. Servicing POS to maintain a clean environment for users.

  • Undertake general maintenance of the grounds and surroundings of the urban areas of Kettering and Corby including leaf blowing, hedge cutting, weeding, formal lawn care and plant border maintenance.
  • Assist with the digging of graves.
  • The proper and safe use of mechanically propelled and pedestrian grass cutting equipment and safety and maintenance checks.
  • Assistance as required or directed with a range of activity associated with sports pitches and general turf management.
  • Clearance of litter, leaves and debris including hand sweeping etc.
  • Assistance as required or directed with a range of routine activities associated with the Nursery.
