Your Role and What You'll Be Doing

The Court of Protection is the judicial body responsible for making decisions relating to the management of finances and other affairs of those individuals who lack the mental capacity to do so themselves. As one of the UK's leading firms of solicitors, we have a dedicated and experienced team who specialize in all matters related to the Court of Protection. You'll join Partner Sean Attwood who provides expert evidence to budget future deputyship support costs for clients and whose clients have received multi-million pound settlements due to serious injury or medical negligence.

We assist clients responsible for managing someone else's affairs, those concerned about the ability of others to manage their own or someone else's affairs, and clients worried about their ability to manage their affairs.

This is ideally a Cambridge based role; we're flexible on location, but regular visits to the Cambridge office will be required.

About You

You'll provide high-quality legal advice to our clients through supervision, training, and managing your caseload. Offering expert legal guidance to clients on financial management matters, including planning, investments, tax returns, and accounting. As a team, our focus is on enhancing the quality of life for our clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Take instructions from clients and provide legal advice.
• Manage your caseload and assist senior team members on High-Value cases.
• Review cases with a supervisor to ensure the provision of quality legal advice.

What we're looking for

• NQ-3yr PQE experience in Court of Protection
• Organized and proactive individual
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Capable of handling a high-pressure work environment
