The role will be responsible for supporting procurement processes at Bromborough site to ensure that purchase orders are issued in a timely manner and materials and services are delivered on time so that the plant could operate seamlessly.

The role will work closely with Category Manager to implement sourcing strategies for key raw materials to mitigate supply risk and to ensure supply security.

The role will support the Global Procurement Organisation to consolidate and report monthly forecast and market data as well as support the yearly budgeting process.

The role will need to collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (i.e. Supply Chain, Quality and Finance) to improve processes and to participate in projects, as well as to manage supplier relationships including handling non-conformances, conducting supplier performance evaluation and audits, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support procurement processes at Bromborough site including PR to PO conversion, new vendor creation and onboarding
  • Negotiate with suppliers for better pricing and delivery terms and conclude contracts where applicable
  • Implement sourcing strategies for key raw materials and supplies to mitigate supply risk and to ensure supply security
  • Consolidate and prepare monthly forecast and market reports for the Global Procurement Organisation
  • Support yearly budgeting process for the Global Procurement Organisation
  • Manage Supplier Performance Programs including supplier classification, handling of nonconformances, completing supplier scorecards, and participating in supplier audits
  • Support plant manager and communications team to conduct risk assessment of key suppliers related to the UK Modern Slavery Act

Education and Experience

  • CIPS Advanced Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working within manufacturing industry
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access).
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and eSourcing tool.
