We are recruiting for a Quality Manager to work on our Metering and Developer Services contracts across London and Thames Valley.
As the Quality Manager you will be responsible defining our Contract Specific Quality Management plan including test and inspection plans. Reporting to our Senior SHEQ Manager you will be responsible for the management of Quality within the business. You will offer operational assistance for planning, assurance and review of Quality through our processes and procedures in line with ISOs 45001 and 9001 as part of our internal Integrated Management System, plus other industry accreditations including Water Industry Registration Scheme (WIRS).
Reporting directly to the Senior SHEQ Manager ; the Quality Manager, with their team, provide the support to ensure the delivery of projects to the highest quality standard. Ensuring compliance with established specifications and procedures, driving a culture of 'right first time' throughout the business.
As the Quality Manager you will need to d esign and implement the Quality Plan and Test & Inspection plans. Assist Delivery Teams at every stage to ensure and enhance compliance with the IMS (Integrated Management System) and client requirements. R eview and approve all Quality Planning documentation to ensure effective Project Quality Plans and Inspection Test Plans are in place to successfully manage works.
You will lead the internal audit process, co-ordination of external audits, including client auditing and accreditation assessments. Actively drive a culture of 'right first time' resulting in reduction in delivery costs to bring the required efficiencies on the programme. Engage with the client at the relevant levels to build/develop and maintain relationships.
You will be a key contributor to the business strategy to ensure sustainable performance. Communicate with the wider programme team. Provide input on supply chain to support programme delivery, through assessment and auditing.
Manage the contract's defects and re-works, providing focus on what poor Quality is costing the contract, whilst analysing and trending the data to drive improvement in this area.
Do you have knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and experience?
Do you have a proven track record of maintenance and management of internal Integrated Management System?
Have you gained experience in quality management and auditing within the construction industry?
Do you have strong auditing skills, plus the ability to problem-solve and carry out in depth root cause analysis?
CQI & IRCA certified ISO 9001: 2015 Auditor/Lead Auditor qualification
Can you integrate with project teams, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve quality objectives?
There will be a requirement to travel to various site locations with this role.
