Copgrove Hall Stud is set in 400 acres of beautiful countryside between Harrogate and Ripon. Our business is all about the thoroughbred horseracing industry.

We operate for a worldwide clientele assisting in breeding programs and providing top class boarding facilities for mares, foals and youngstock.

We are looking for Stud Hands to join our small but highly dedicated team on a full time basis.

The role involves handling mares, foals and youngstock, assisting the vet and farrier, mucking out, feeding, grooming and other yard duties.

The working hours are generally Monday to Friday 7.30am start, 4.30pm finish with a half hour morning break and one hour lunch break.

Due to the nature of the business weekend work is also expected on a weekend on and weekend off basis.

Weekend work is for reduced hours and paid at an overtime rate. If you cannot commit to working weekends please do not apply.

Applicants must be physically fit, hardworking and reliable. Good timekeeping is essential.

Experience with horses is an advantage but not essential as the role does not include any riding and full training will be given.

We provide a good hourly rate of pay and overtime rates for weekend work. The role also includes
on site free accommodation if required. Our accommodation is of an excellent standard and well maintained throughout.

Salary:
£9.50-£11.87 per hour
