Hays proudly represents a top international law firm that is currently seeking a Finance Solicitor to join their Digital Legal Delivery Team in Belfast.

Your new role

In this position, you will play a key role in assisting with finance deals and transactions, finance mandates like outsourcings for bank and asset manager clients, and various finance projects. It's a highly collaborative role that involves close work with the firm's London Finance team and direct client interaction.

Duties include:

  • Conducting fee-earning tasks and overseeing junior legal team members
  • Active participation in finance transactions and projects under the oversight of the Digital Legal Delivery Finance Senior team, in collaboration with London Finance teams
  • Providing exceptional client service and contributing effectively to the firm's operations
  • Keeping updated on relevant legal areas within the Digital Legal Delivery Finance practice
  • Utilizing legal technology tools like AI and legal tech for improved service efficiency
  • Adhering to risk protocols, firm policies, professional duties, and laws, contributing to billing and client processes
  • Collaborating with clients and other firm teams on fee-earning matters or projects

What you'll need to succeed

To excel in this role, you should have at least 1+ years' PQE (Northern Ireland / England and Wales / Republic of Ireland) focusing mainly on banking and finance.

You should also possess:

  • Strong legal abilities in drafting, negotiation, and project management
  • Basic skills in people management and business development
