A&E Receptionist, Emergency Care, Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle


Based at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle; a self-motivated A&E Receptionist is required to join the Emergency Care Team, supporting clinical staff within the function.


You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to work as a team player, but have the ability to work on your own initiative, under pressure whilst remaining calm.


You must be able to assist in covering a 24/7 rota, sometimes at short notice, working 12-hour and/or 6-hour shifts.


Provide an efficient service for the reception of patients and their relatives and aid the smooth running of the Emergency Department by assisting nursing staff with non-nursing duties.

Deal with enquiries from patients, medical staff and the general public.

£18 + Administration cost of £3.85 = £21.85. Deducted at £6.85 from 1st month salary and £5 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
