As a Lead Reliability Engineer, you will have the responsibility of developing, implementing, and overseeing our business's plans for enhancing network performance.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Developing reliability strategies to support annual and regulatory business planning with stakeholder engagement.
  • Executing the network performance improvement plan
  • Compiling reliability plan details and managing reliability-related regulatory submissions
  • Preparing documentation for reliability metrics in annual and regulatory business planning
  • Generating regular reports on network analysis and performance
  • Conducting performance analysis and reporting
  • Representing the company in trade body and regulatory working groups
  • Contributing to initiatives led by the Department of Energy Security and Net-Zero and/or Ofgem industry reviews

Key skills and qualifications:

  • Expertise in industry-standard reliability metrics for power networks
  • Ability to deliver high-quality outputs within set deadlines with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in conflict management
  • Skills in data analysis techniques like statistical process control, reliability modeling, and fault tree analysis
  • Willingness to take calculated risks and conduct business with integrity
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Thorough understanding of factors influencing recognized electricity network reliability metrics
  • Familiarity with electricity network assets and their lifecycle management
  • Prior experience in data analytics in a regulatory context
  • Previous leadership or team management roles
  • Knowledge of utility regulation and regulatory dataset complexities
  • Proven track record in supporting electricity network reliability policies and plans within a regulatory landscape
  • Understanding of legal obligations in asset management and regulatory frameworks
  • Management experience in a utility environment
  • Experience with advanced analytical tools like Power BI
