Background on the Immigration Department:

Our Immigration Department is one of the largest legal aid practices in the UK, specializing in various services such as business immigration, human rights, and appeals. With a team of over 160 specialist lawyers nationwide, we offer expert services to individuals and families from the EEA and non-EEA countries.

Our Immigration team is known for handling complex cases up to the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court, particularly in asylum claims and human rights violations. We are dedicated to assisting clients in challenging circumstances.



Main Responsibilities of the Role:
  • Report directly to Department Director
  • Responsible for all aspects of Immigration work
  • Manage a team of Solicitors, Trainee Solicitors, and Caseworkers
  • Provide training and development in the department
  • Handle a range of Immigration work including asylum applications, appeals, and judicial reviews
  • Prepare legal documents and funding applications
  • Attend conferences and court proceedings
  • Focus on client care, business development, and marketing

Key Skills Required:
  • Registered with the Law Society Immigration & Asylum Law Accreditation
  • Committed and highly driven
  • Strong management and supervisory skills
  • Team player with proven supervisory experience
  • Excellent client care and communication skills
  • Networking and marketing abilities
  • IT proficiency
  • Experience in publicly funded Immigration work
  • Knowledge of Immigration related matters and advocacy skills
