The post holder will be a member of the multi disciplinary Community Eating Disorder service that sits within the overarching CAMHS Directorate.

The post holder will provide specialist Eating Disorder assessments & tailored psychotherapeutic evidence based interventions for young people and families.

To ensure high quality CAMHS (ED) assessments of young people referred to CEDS

To provide access to, implement & review psychotherapeutic interventions in accordance with individual assessed need

Work as a co-therapist where appropriate

To be responsible for & manage a defined caseload

To identify & develop strategies to manage risk in line with Pennine CAMHS procedures & protocols

To undertake liaison & joint work with other professionals / agencies regarding individual care packages.

Promote awareness of child & adolescent mental health issues within these agencies

To provide consultation/ training to external professionals ( may include GP's, Education /Paediatric services)

To engage in/deliver clinical supervision, including with appropriate consent, recording and reviewing of live clinical work

Ensure collection of relevant information, data & outcome measures as required by the trust

To routinely monitor effectiveness of clinical work by use of Routine Outcome Measures (ROM) & where outcomes are not improving for children and families to engage in clinical review via peer review meetings & supervision


To take part in the CED - CYP emergency duty rota in order to provide urgent assessment of children & young people presenting with eating disorder in line with Pennine care protocols to both advise other professionals regarding risk & work with them to develop a plan of care for the child.

This could involve the need to work flexibly.


We are a reputable well-established and dynamic Community Eating Disorder Service delivering dedicated and evidence-based care and treatment to young people aged 8-18 and their families.

Our service continues to expand, and we are looking for additional motivated staff to join us in the next phase of our development to enhance our existing provision.

We have a position available in both our Bury (covering the boroughs of Bury Oldham, Heywood Middleton, & Rochdale) & Stockport (covering Stockport Tameside & Glossop) based hubs.

We have strong links to teams across the GM network and are committed to team development. We actively encourage development of an area of interest/ therapeutic modality.


The post-holder will provide specialist assessment of young people with eating disorders / offer a wide range of psycho-therapeutic interventions.

As a Band 6 practitioner, you will be a member of the multi-disciplinary CEDS team, and will hold a caseload of patients as well as being expected to work alongside and support other team members.


CLINICAL
To ensure high quality CAMHS assessment of children and families referred to the service, including assessment of eating disorder

To provide or provide access to a range of quality psychotherapeutic interventions in accordance with individual assessed need.

This will include the assessment planning implementation and evaluation of a variety of therapeutic approaches either alone or as a member of the MDT.

To deliver therapeutic input to CYP referred to the team.

Work as a co-therapist where appropriate with other members of the MDT.

To be responsible for and manage a defined caseload and undertake case management responsibilities within the caseload.


To identify and develop strategies to manage risk to the child and others in line with Pennine Care and CAMHS procedures and protocols.


To liaise closely with a wide range of agencies regarding individual care packages and to promote awareness of child and adolescent mental health issues within these agencies.

Undertake liaison and joint work with other professionals outside of the MDT


To provide consultation and training on a wide range of children's emotional health, well-being and eating disorder issues to professionals, from a range of services including GP's, Primacy Care Services, Adult Mental Health Services, Education Services and Paediatric services.

To engage in/deliver managerial and clinical supervision, including with appropriate consent, recording and reviewing of live clinical work.
