Luton, Luton, United Kingdom Luton Roma Trust Full time
_In the midst of multicultural Luton is a vibrant Roma community estimated to be about 3,000 in size.

Luton Roma Trust was established as a charity in 2015 and since then has been reaching out to these economic migrants who have migrated from Romania and Bulgaria in recent years.

Our interventions are holistic, covering every area of life._

  • Education is key to Luton Roma Trust's work. The Roma Education Worker's role will be to facilitate and explore the relationship between Roma children, parents and schools by providing direction and encouragement as we work collaboratively with them to help them achieve their dreams. It is a hope that the Roma children will emerge from school fully literate and with good exam results that will enable them to access the employment market. We pray that many will continue into higher education and that some ultimately will become leading lights in the emancipation of the Roma people of Europe._
  • The Roma Education Worker will work under the supervision of our Roma Education Champion, Paul Sayers, who has held this post from when it was created in 2015. The two workers will be accountable to our Manager, Crina Morteanu._
