Orchard Pharmacy Mansfield have an opening for TWO part time permanent Medicines Counter assistant roles


As the front of house, you will assist the pharmacy team in providing a confidential, friendly, efficient and professional healthcare service to the local community.

Our Pharmacy counter is exceptionally busy and being able to work under pressure in a very fast paced environment is crucial.

It is imperative you do everything possible to maintain and enhance the good name and reputation of Orchard Pharmacy.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serving customers and handing out pre bagged medication.
  • Ordering, receiving and managing shop and behind the counter stock.
  • Merchandising and helping with shop displays.
  • Maintaining clean and professional appearance of the shop; all shop floor swept and mopped daily, cleaning and making sure all products on the shelves are front facing and there are no gaps.
  • Successfully completing the Medicine Counter Assistant course which you will be enrolled onto after successfully passing the probation period
  • Solve patient queries.
  • Participating in the Hypertension case finding Service and taking patient blood pressures.
Person Specification.

  • Experience working in retail environment.
  • Customer service in pharmacy desirable.
  • Merchandising & display skills
  • Handling monetary transactions
  • Interest in healthcare and able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate to all groups of patients.
Working days will be Monday-Friday (12:00-21:00), Saturdays ,
