Established in 2010, Black Diamond Security Services Ltd are a Nationwide security solutions provider who aims to bring the highest clarity of services, combining them into a grounded security setup, with the convenience of just one contractor partnership.

The company focuses on being at the forefront of service delivery and innovation.

This vacnacy is for 2x positions as a Control Room Operative. The vacancies invovle working 12 hour shifts from 7am-7pm on a 4 on, 4 off basis.

You would work within the team in Black Diamond's National Control Centre, monitoring all CCTV and manned guarding sites across the UK.


Day to day duties would include:

  • Monitoring CCTV cameras and following escalation procedures if activations occur.
  • Monitoring manned guarding officers activity using software and ensuring all lone working procedures are followed (escalation procedures).
  • Ensuring that Monitoring Officers have booked on to sites.
Entry requirements

  • Good IT skills and computer literate
  • Good team player
  • Excellent customer service
  • A positive attitude
  • SIA License is preferable, but not essential, it will be required if you take up a full time position with the company following compeltition of the apprenticeship
Training to be provided

The employer will ensure all required training required is provided.


Skills for Security provide delivery of the classroom training portion of the apprenticeship, for this vacnacy, the training would be delivered remotely.


Skills for Security would also complete an assessment at one of our training centres and take part in any additional training courses that the company require you to complete.

Things to consider

The apprenticeship is 12 months and therefore, full commitment is needed.
