Job Summary

The Engagement & Development Manager will be responsible for assisting the Head of Engagement in developing and implementing the relevant Council strategies within their areas of responsibility.

In this capacity, the post-holder will provide clear direction and support to their section(s).

They will be responsible for the effective management of services that come under their control in the pursuit of service excellence and value for money.

The post-holder will support the Directorate / Section in implementing the integration of new and current functions and responsibilities.

They will assist in the delivery of high quality services across the Department by using performance management to drive continuous improvement and by effectively using the Council's resources.

The post-holder will ensure that their Section and its employees comply and adhere to all statutory and legislative requirements and works in accordance with good governance and safety requirements.

Duration of Appointment
Permanent

Hours of Work
Hours of work are: 36 hours per week.

The post holder must be prepared to work outside normal office hours, including evenings, weekends, and Public and extra Statutory Holidays for which the appropriate payment will be made or time in lieu granted if relevant.

Work Pattern:

Flexi 36 hours Monday to Friday

Hours of work are kept under review and may change in order to meet operational requirements, providing requisite notice.
