As Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data engineering function for our innovative climate tech SaaS product.

You will work with a diverse array of data sources, leveraging your expertise to clean, transform, and make sense of complex datasets.

Your responsibilities will include implementing a robust tool stack and establishing a cutting-edge data engineering function, all within a cloud-based environment.

Proficiency in Python and AWS is essential, as you will utilize these technologies extensively to architect scalable and efficient data solutions.

Additionally, you will be tasked with evaluating and selecting the most suitable tooling for our product, considering factors such as cost-effectiveness and performance optimization.

Strong understanding of a variety of data engineering tooling with ability to determine and implement an appropriate stack.
Strong experience working with our existing technologies (Python, AWS, Bash, Postgres).
Strong hands-on data engineering experience, including data modelling, data warehousing, building ETL pipelines, and designing efficient database schemas.
Expertise in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or distributed computing frameworks
Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices

Experience working with both relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Proficiency in using data visualization tools and libraries (e.g.

, Tableau, Matplotlib, Seaborn)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex data-related issues
