Here at KCHFT, we are continuously striving to enhance the well-being of our team and patients. We prioritize your well-being so you can provide the best care to your patients.

Our 'We Care' strategy, active until 2028, underscores our commitment to prioritizing our communities, enhancing patient experiences, and creating an excellent workplace for all our employees.

These aren't just hollow promises. In our 'Outstanding' rated trust, over half of our workforce enjoys flexible arrangements, such as compressed hours and term-time options. More than 70% of our team believes we promote health and well-being, and we aim to further enhance this aspect.

Considering the NHS's evolving community care focus, now is a great time to join us.

Main Duties of the Job

As a Band 5 Community Nurse, you will collaborate within a team to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in their homes. Your clinical judgment will facilitate evidence-based care planning for those residing at home, in care facilities, or other settings, ensuring a positive service experience for our clients.

As a Trust that values staff development, we actively welcome applications from newly qualified professionals and will support your transition into Community Nursing. Our organization provides various career progression opportunities, detailed information about which can be found below.

"I have a fulfilling, extraordinary job, and I am dedicated to delivering skilled and compassionate care to my homebound patients for as long as possible." - Jenny, community nurse.

Additional Working Pattern: shifting hours throughout Monday to Sunday, with occasional weekends and late shifts up to 6:00 pm.

Working for Our Organization

As one of the largest community NHS trusts in the UK, KCHFT boasts an 'outstanding' rating from the CQC. We are passionate about delivering top-tier care to patients and providing exceptional services to enhance our community's health. To achieve this, we need exceptional individuals who embody our values: Compassionate, Aspirational, Responsive, Excellent.

We prioritize equality, diversity, and inclusion, as they lead to better patient care and a more satisfied workforce. Therefore, all our team members have equal access to career advancement opportunities.

Flexibility is another cornerstone of our approach. Working in the NHS reminds us daily of life's importance. As an organization that supports flexible working arrangements, we want you to work in a manner that benefits us, our patients, and yourself. Reach out to us to discuss how we can accommodate a flexible work setup that doesn't compromise personal interests or family commitments. We will assist you in finding a mutually beneficial flexible work arrangement.

Seeking professional development? We can support that too and help you reach your career aspirations.

If you require an alternative format for the application, please inform our recruitment team to assist you.

All details provided in your application should be truthful and accurate to the best of your knowledge.
