Are you ready to kickstart your career in education? Look no further- GSL Education are seeking to appoint SEN Learning Support Assistants at an outstanding Primary School based in Stockport to provide support to the primary pupils. As a Learning Support Assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and students in KS1/KS2 . The school has great facilities & close to public transport, the school s focus is to give a nurturing approach to learning whilst making learning fun. This school currently has an Ofsted report rated Good .

Successful applicants will support Class Teachers, ensuring pupils are interacting in the lessons, supporting the children's needs, and encouraging their learning. Previous experience in a similar role is desired but not essential.

The Role:

  • Location: Stockport
  • Salary: GBP95-GBP115 per day
  • Start Date: September
  • Contract Type: Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to children with a range of SEN, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively
  • Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and the classroom environment
  • Encourage children s independence, self-confidence, and social integration

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting is desired but not essential
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to working with children
  • Enhanced DBS check (GSL Education can support you with this)
