The Main Duties of the Role are as follows:

Process Analysis: Assist in the analysis of current brewing and distilling processes to identify areas for improvement.
Yield Optimization: Support the implementation of techniques to maximize alcohol yield.
Efficiency Improvements: Help streamline operations to reduce energy consumption and waste.
Technology Integration: Participate in the integration of advanced brewing and distilling technologies.
Sustainability Initiatives: Contribute to the development and implementation of sustainable practices in distillation processes.
Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyse data to monitor process performance and identify trends.
Quality Control: Assist in ensuring that all products meet the required quality standards.
Provide support for ongoing projects at both Glencadam and Tomintoul distilleries.
Staff Training: Participate in training sessions to improve knowledge and understanding of new processes and technologies.
Prepare reports on process improvements, project progress, and performance metrics.

What we are looking for:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Brewing and Distilling.
Strong understanding of brewing and distilling processes, chemical engineering principles, and quality control practices.
Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.
Proficiency in using relevant software tools for process analysis and data management.
Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Experience: Prior internship or work experience in a brewing or distilling environment.
Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Institute of Brewing & Distilling qualifications).
Motivated: Demonstrates a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to learning and development.
Innovative: Open to new ideas and willing to suggest and try innovative solutions.
Adaptable: Able to adjust to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Team Player: Willing to collaborate and contribute to team goals.
