Responsibilities:

  • Duties
  • Liaise with project clients, architects, engineers, and any other stakeholders to
produce 3D steelwork models and general arrangement drawings using Tekla Structures for commercial, agricultural, and domestic buildings.

  • Produce 3D models for secondary steelwork such as staircases and platforms using Tekla Structures.
  • Raise RFI's to gather incomplete information and highlight any discrepancies between differing architectural and engineering information supplied.
  • Carrying out site surveys when required.
  • Create fabrication drawings from the information within the Tekla model.
  • Create erection drawings for onsite erection teams.
  • Issue procurement information.
  • Design and detail composite cladding and flashing junctions for any projects that utilize cladding.
  • Create cladding general arrangement drawings for client approval.
  • Create cladding and flashing drawings for onsite erection teams.
  • Other office duties as required.

Experience:

  • 2 years+ in similar position


 Experience in CAD
  • Tekla training will be given
  • Strong understanding of design principals and techniques
  • Knowledge of graphic design principals for creating visually appealing drawings
  • Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Effective communication and collaborative skills
