RG Freight Recruitment are working on behalf of an independently owned freight forwarding company to find an experienced
Export Operator to join their team in
Wednesbury.

This client specialises in international freight forwarding with a focus on providing bespoke services by air, land and sea.


With over 30 years under their belt, they have built up a strong network of overseas agents to ensure a global and complete service to their customer base.

Coupled with their highly experienced team, this client is able to offer a truly complete and tailor made service on each shipment.


The purpose of this role will be to arrange, coordinate and manage air, road and sea shipments across the globe.


Responsibilities

  • Arrange transportation and shipping services, considering costeffectiveness and delivery timelines.
  • Prepare and manage documentation for various modes of transportation (air, sea, land) according to international regulations.
  • Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to ensure smooth movement of goods.??
  • Prepare and verify accurate export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and shipping instructions.
  • Complete required forms such as bill of lading, air waybill, and customs declarations.
  • Compare and evaluate freight quotations from different carriers and select the most suitable option based on cost and delivery requirements.
  • Monitor the progress of shipments and keep stakeholders informed about any changes in routing or timing.

The Person

  • Experience in air, road and sea movements in a freight forwarding environment
  • Sound knowledge of freight forwarding practices and processes
  • Up to date on current customs regulations and policies
  • Excellent customer service skills with a desire to get things done
  • Ability to work with a dynamic team and organise workloads accordingly

Salary:
£27,000.00 per year
