Our client is a major player in the UK Express Distribution Market with a large number of branches across the UK.

They are looking for an experienced Distribution Branch Operation Manager to join the team

Role**:

  • Responsibility for actively managing the daytoday running and operational procedures/performance of a large depot through a number of 1st LineManagers and their teams
  • Leading and motivating a large team in the pursuit of demanding cost, productivity and quality targets.
  • Responsible for Compliance, Health and Safety and Depot Cost Analysis
  • Staff appraisals and disciplinaries when necessary
  • Ensuring we meet and exceed challenging network service levels will be a key requirement of this role.
  • Evident line management experience in production/logistics/mail/ parcels services environment
  • Experience of running a multi shift logistics operation
  • Proven record of delivering great service to Customers and managing ongoing Customer relationships.
  • Experience of managing a diverse workforce including sub
- contractors, self
- employed drivers and PAYE drivers.

  • Experience of managing direct cost budget.
