HSEQ Advisor at the Energy Division - Join a Leading Contractor in Scotland


I'm excited to offer you the chance to become an HSEQ Advisor with a top Contractor in Scotland.

This vital role involves supporting Distribution Overhead Lines projects across Scotland, ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are met.


Duties & responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in implementing the IMS for operational and management teams
  • Ensuring compliance with UK legislation
  • Providing expert advice on RAMS, risk management, and occupational health
  • Developing SHE management systems
  • Engaging with stakeholders
  • Supporting incident management and investigations
  • Conducting HSEQ training
  • Representing company values
  • Participating in various meetings

This role requires on-site presence to drive project success.


Key competencies include:

  • Previous Safety Advisor experience in DNO or electrical substation environments (desirable)
  • Utilities or renewables experience (ESSENTIAL)
  • Temporary Works management knowledge and experience
  • Strong influencing and relationship-building skills
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate preferred; NEBOSH General Certificate considered
  • Familiarity with HSG47 and GS 6 (desirable)
