Tssu Supervisor

TSSU Supervisor Role at St. Johns Hospital:

• Manage day to day operations of the Theatre Decontamination Unit
• Supervise Decontamination Technicians and provide support to the Theatre team
• Receive and package contaminated medical instruments for off-site sterilisation
• Ensure proper tracking and return of instruments as per guidelines

Requirements:

• Good command of English
• Experience in Theatre, Decontamination, or Stores
• Understanding of decontamination processes
• Computer and numeracy skills
• Team leadership abilities
• Customer service and communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Flexible and responsive to departmental needs

Responsibilities:

• Manage TSSU Staff
• Ensure processing of medical devices as per policies
• Track devices according to national guidelines
• Coordinate with Theatre Leads for timely processing of instruments
• Meet contractual obligations of off-site decontamination unit
• Provide support and training to staff
