POST TITLE:

It will be necessary to carry out some of the duties in the evenings and weekends.

MAIN PURPOSES OF POST

  • To provide a support service to all Care Assistants by undertaking all tasks of a domestic nature.
  • Ensuring that the home is tidy, clean and offers the highest quality of homely environment to the Residents and visitors.
  • To observe and implement good health and safety policies.
  • To minimise the possibility of cross contamination.

REPORTS TO:
Officer‐in‐Charge

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To assist Care Assistants who need help with Residents' activities.
  • To help Residents to keep their bedrooms tidy and clean.
  • To perform cleaning and polishing duties as directed.
  • To assist Care Assistants where needed, with bed making and changing and where appropriate to undertake these tasks on their behalf.
  • To bring to the attention of the Care Assistants any matter concerning the health or welfare of a Resident.
  • To treat all visitors to the Home cordially.
  • To take an active part in staff meetings.
  • Such other duties as may be reasonably required.
