  • Planning and designing cable routes, customer connections, and managing feasibility studies/reports in the Pre-Construction Department (Power).
  • NRSWA desirable.
  • CSCS Card required for the appropriate level of responsibility/competency.
  • Competent in using MS Word, MS Project, Excel, and Office Outlook.
  • Must have a Full UK Driving License.

The role involves supporting and assisting in multiple surveys and feasibility studies, ensuring incident-free project delivery in compliance with company policies and procedures, on schedule, and within budget.

Continuously develop client and supply chain partner relationships, implementing cost-effective innovations to the business.

Actively participate in supporting the pre-construction department and the tendering/estimation process by liaising with Estimators and Surveyors to provide operational and technical support in compiling bids and feasibility studies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in feasibility studies surveys/reports.
  • Supporting the pre-construction/bid team by providing route surveys, paving schedules, and tender programmes.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements for projects.
  • Promoting and implementing SQE policies and procedures.
  • Preparing Job Packs from site surveys for the preparation of private wayleaves documents.
  • Designing cable packs, including Straight Line Diagrams and Public Infrastructure Access Documentation.
  • Supporting Scope of Works Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  • Updating and inputting information to MS Project Reports.
  • Collaborating with Highways Authorities, Clients, Utilities Representatives, and internal colleagues.
  • Complying with all company Policies & Procedures.
  • Promoting the JSM Group brand proactively.
  • Assisting with any ad hoc duties as needed.
