Technical Design Lead - Data Centre Projects

We are a versatile team collaborating with Data Centre clients across Europe, specializing in both Hyperscale and Colocation as well as Enterprise projects. Our UK-based data centre team leads these projects, supported by local teams across Europe and global design teams.

We are looking for an individual with a strong technical background in the Data Centre sector to oversee architectural and engineering projects at a Technical Design Lead level. You should excel at building and maintaining relationships with clients, anticipating and addressing issues proactively, and ensuring timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead multi-disciplinary architectural and engineering projects
  • Build strong client relationships
  • Identify and troubleshoot potential issues
  • Ensure timely project delivery
  • Manage project resources effectively
  • Participate in bidding and pricing of new opportunities
  • Ensure project compliance with internal processes
  • Manage project risks and ensure profitable delivery

This role offers flexibility in the UK/Ireland, preferably located near our hubs of expertise such as London, Dublin, or Manchester, with travel within the UK&I and Europe.

The ideal candidate must excel in team collaboration, technical design, and have experience in Data Centre projects. Skills in design management, digital technologies, and workflow are essential. You will be responsible for managing design activities across all disciplines, maintaining high-quality standards throughout.

You will collaborate closely with design teams, clients, and contractors across the UK and Europe, supporting Project Managers in a portfolio of projects.

Requirements:
  • Recent experience in Data Centre projects
  • Knowledge of Permitting processes, Building Systems, Regulations, and construction
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs
  • Prior experience in a similar consultancy or relevant business

Additionally, a valid Driver's License, a clear work history, and a willingness to relocate if necessary are expected.
