Service care Solution are currently recruiting for a Communications And Engagement Officer with Southwark Council.


The focus of the role to engage and work with young people, in particular working creatively and collaboratively with the Southwark Youth Parliament to ensure young people's voices are heard and inform service delivery and support the new election project.

This is an exciting opportunity and the role will include

  • To develop and implement youth engagement projects, schemes and structures aimed at increasing young people participation in council decisionmaking, service improvement and service delivery
  • To develop partnership work with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, with a view to developing and broadening the youth and play offer
  • To build relationships with underrepresented young people to create opportunities for improved engagement with the council
  • To be responsible for the recruitment, induction, training and coordination of volunteers in accordance with council policies and procedures
  • To identify and initiate opportunities for partnership working and to develop relationships with key stakeholders
  • To build knowledge and understanding of national and regional changes in youth and play work practice and funding, to support work to further develop and improve the service
