Fawkes & Reece South are working with a main contractor who are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join one of their busy commercial teams.

They are working in collaboration with a private client to deliver various projects as part of a water framework. Their projects are worth £1m to £35m and are based on NEC3 contracts. Scope of works includes civils works, frc, pilling, drainage, ducting & trenching etc.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be reporting to a Managing Quantity Surveyor whilst working in a small team.

Your role will be to ensure that the commercial duties are being performed in line a NEC contract whilst working on multiple projects at any given time.

You will be involved in (but not limited to):

Accurate monthly forecasting
Producing and sending enquiries with relevant documentation to subcontractors
Producing monthly reports and cost value reconciliations
Managing any change and producing compensation events
Produce, submit, and agree monthly application with the client
Liaise with operational and engineering staff
Attending weekly progress meetings
Working collaboratively with the bid and estimating team

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
Degree-qualified in a Quantity Surveying subject or equivalent

Member of RICS or IOB (or seeking professional membership)

You'll need good working knowledge and experience with the NEC form of contract

Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK
