A Bit About The Role Job Purpose**:

Reporting to the Senior People Business Partner, the On-site People Advisor will support the Manufacturing leaders with the day to day people activities and be the connection with the Centres of Excellence.


Job Context:


Working hybridly, you will split your time between our Group Support Centre (Doncaster), manufacturing sites with an element of working from home.


Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective partnering between the centres of excellence and the manufacturing operations team
  • Work with People Services to:
  • Support line managers with note taking in investigation, discipline, grievance and appeal hearings to ensure they are conducted in line with policy and legislation and attended to in a timely manner
  • Ensure MyPlace Data is kept up to date with regular checks with the Leadership Team
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures, including Data Privacy
  • Support with any ad hoc data requirements holiday carry over, survey data etc
  • Work collaboratively with the Talent Acquisition Partner for manufacturing to ensure vacancies are filled efficiently, with the right talent every time
  • Work collaboratively with the L&D team to ensure we are proactively managing development opportunities for both colleagues and leaders
  • Support the Senior People Partner with cyclical people activities such as talent mapping, succession planning and mid/end of year reviews
  • Seek opportunities to continually improve the reward and wellbeing offerings for our manufacturing colleagues
  • Support the Senior People Partner with any people transformation activity
  • Liaise with the Leadership Team and People Team to arrange any formal meetings if required
  • Pulling weekly absence reports and ensuring the leadership team take the appropriate steps to manage the absence
  • Support our Leaders with managing colleagues on Long Term Sick and helping them to return to work
  • Support with the HAVS assessment process, ensuring leaders are making the right decisions and removing any associated risks where diagnosis' are made
  • Support the people administrators and specialists in the processing of key people work streams and projects
  • Produce periodic attrition reports detailing leave reasons to help proactively manage attrition
  • Supporting the completion of the Top Sheet for Payroll to ensure everyone's wages are accurate and take any relevant follow up action

A Bit About The Role cont'd

  • Updating the people data on the weekly manufacturing performance tracker
  • Pull weekly clockings data to monitor missed clockings and lateness and ensure the leadership team take appropriate steps to manage the team
  • Own the periodic processing of any performance related bonus schemes in manufacturing (currently only HGV Drivers)
  • Produce the annual manufacturing holiday calendar covering shut down periods
  • Pull together the Weekly Brief for the sites and ensure this is delivered by our leaders on a biweekly basis comms support delivery
  • Support our Leaders with Inducting new colleagues into the business using the ready formed Induction Process
  • Attend site Engagement Meetings to take notes and support with action plans on how to improve engagement
  • Provide any additional comms support where necessary with all other topics that need briefing out
  • Support our skills for tomorrow strategy and processes where required including attending job fairs at schools/colleges

What We're Looking For Required capabilities**:

  • Driving licence required due to regular site visits
  • Previous experience within a people administration/coordination role desired
  • Working using initiative is essential and able to work with changing priorities
  • Personable with strong relationship building abilities
  • Able to confidently challenge stakeholders where required
  • High levels of organisation
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity
