About The Role


You are a Hounslow champion, with a responsibility to embrace and deliver change; be outcome-focussed; and put Hounslow residents at the very heart of everything we do and every decision we take.

Your professional accountability is to help with auditing regulated and unregulated provisions for our looked after children and work across boundaries within the organisation to deliver strategic and operational projects that explicitly benefit Hounslow residents.

You will support management by leading on contract monitoring for our semi independent and residential placement provision. Also, ensuring any complaints and issues are dealt with in a timely way.


You will build strong relationships with key providers to influence suitable strategies and solutions to provide best service outcomes for looked after children and care leavers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To work as part of a multi-agency team representing the directorate and Council at a variety of meetings with external stakeholders.
  • To monitor and improve service delivery through effective quality assurance processes ensuring the Council is, at all times, meeting its statutory responsibilities to LAC and achieving improved outcomes for the Children and Young People.
  • To produce information/data that enables the manager to monitor and review placement provider. Complete timely reviews with providers to ensure any identified actions completed.
  • Prepare, co-ordinate and quality review reports, presentations and briefing papers for Senior colleagues. Any other tasks that may be allocated by senior managers from time to time.

Your Skills:

  • You will have a working knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and Children's Homes Regulations 2015 including quality standards and have experience of working or demonstrate an understanding of the needs of looked after children and young people
  • Able to engage with complex concepts and issues and communicate these clearly and simply is one of your strengths; ability to gather, analyse and interpret information accurately
  • You have a proactive, flexible, responsive approach, always seeking to provide the highest levels of professionalism. Will be IT literate with advanced knowledge of excel and powerpoint
  • You will have experience of producing and presenting reports on complex issues for high profile external and internal stakeholders and be willing to travel.

Essential For The Role

  • Enhanced DBS check is required.
