This is an exciting opportunity to join TACT London & The South in a new role as Family Support & Community Engagement Worker and be part of an exciting project embedding community support, parent and child activities and deepen engagement across the region.

The Family Support & Community Engagement Worker will be leading on the establishment of community hubs for foster carers where we can provide sustained local assistance, encourage peer to peer support, host family activities, training and identify other interventions that will consistently enhance the skills, knowledge and engagement of our foster carers.

The Family Support & Community Engagement Worker will be expected to work flexibly including some evening and weekend hours, as well as being able to travel throughout the region, working face to face with carers in a number of locations as well as joining colleagues for training and team wellbeing events.

Overall Duties of the Family Support & Community Engagement Worker will include:
Establishing local hubs across the region
Liaising with carers to establish peer groups and support
Providing one to one support where needed
Source and engage local providers and third party suppliers
Innovating new ways of working and establishing local community groups amongst carers
Working closely with the team to enhance inclusion and engagement and raise awareness of our services
