About the Role: An excellent opportunityis open for a proactive Windows System Engineer to join a leadinghedge fund and make an immediate impact on challenginginfrastructure projects, driving automation, security, andefficiency across the IT infrastructure in a collaborative workingenvironment. The successful candidate will be a hands-on engineerwho thrives in tackling complex technical tasks and is experiencedwith optimising and supporting a highly available ITinfrastructure. This role requires good technical andcommunications skills and a passion for the latest technology. Theideal candidate will have 5-10 years of applied experience as aWindows Systems Engineer that includes the deployment, monitoringand support of secure Windows Servers running business-criticalapplication platforms. * Deploy and support enterprise WindowsServer 2012-2022 and Microsoft 365 solutions (Entra ID, Exchange,Endpoint Manager, Teams, Conditional Access) to meet organizationalneeds and following best practices * Manage and optimise theWindows server estate, focusing on on-prem infrastructure based onVMware/Nutanix AHV and also cloud infrastructure platforms (Azure /AWS) * Perform system maintenance, such as applying patches andupdates to ensure availability, optimal performance and security ofIT infrastructure * Monitor system performance and proactivelyidentify/resolve issues * Maintain detailed documentation of systemsetup, configuration, procedures and change * Implement and managesecurity platforms including endpoint protection and patchmanagement to protect data and shared IT infrastructure * Managebackup solutions to ensure data recovery and resiliency * Work aspart of the Infrastructure and Systems Engineering team to plan andexecute larger IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations,and deployments * Take ownership of ongoing Windows-relatedprojects, driving them forward and ensuring timely completion *Keep up to date with the latest technologies, securityvulnerabilities and industry best practices * Ensure that systemsand user activities comply with organizational policies and anyrelevant legal or regulatory frameworks * Troubleshoot and resolvesystem issues and outages Requirements: * Previous experienceworking in Financial Services * Proven experience as a WindowsSystem Administrator or currently in a similar role * Solidunderstanding of Active Directory Services(DNS/DHCP/FSMO/ADFS/SSO/ADCS) * Solid understanding of networkingconcepts, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN * Scripting skills desirable(e.g. PowerShell, Batch scripting) for automating routine tasks anddeployments * Good knowledge of AWS Infrastructure and Linuxadministration desirable * Strong written, oral, and interpersonalcommunication skills * Ability to troubleshoot systems issues andapplications in a logical and level-headed manner * Be able tocommunicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language *Highly self-motivated and directed, with a keen attention to detail* Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively in afast-paced environment * Strong collaborative skills with theability to work effective in a team-oriented environment * Displaysand operates at the highest degree of ethics and integritySeniority level Associate Employment type Full-time Job functionInformation Technology Industries IT Services and IT ConsultingJ-18808-Ljbffr
