cer Financial are working alongside an internationalbank who are based in the City of London. They are seeking aCorporate Banking Deputy Head to work with them on a permanentbasis. The responsibilities of a Corporate Banking Deputy Head willinclude: 1. Management of existing and potential corporate bankingportfolio, developing new businesses and maintaining existingrelationships with a view to growing assets, liabilities, andprofits from satisfied customers. 2. Supporting the Head ofCorporate Banking in delivering on the Boards mandated budget bybuilding and developing an adequate corporate clientele base andloan portfolio. 3. Working to ensure that CBU executes its portionof the Business Development strategy. 4. Supporting the Head ofCorporate Banking with the day-to-day management of activitieswithin CBU. 5. Be a significant contributor to CBU's revenue growth& profitability targets set annually within the risk appetiteframework. 6. Business tracking of revenues for MIS and Budgetpurposes. 7. Ensuring Direct Reports complete annual CreditReviews, continuous KYB/KYC due diligence, Covenants andTransaction Monitoring on portfolio of corporate relationshipstimely and accurately. 8. To provide guidance and coaching toDirect Reports to achieve the portfolio's objectives. 9. Source forbusiness from key targets particularly sectors and markets on ourselectivity list. 10. Work closely with Risk/Credit to close deals.11. Cultivate good rapport with existing and potential Clients forbusiness opportunities and ensure that quality service is alwaysgiven to them. 12. Work with the Head of Corporate Banking toidentify new business opportunities for CBU. 13. Cross-sell thebanks products to new and existing clients. 14. Generate low-costliabilities from existing and new account relationships. 15. Growrisk assets volume from new facilities, overdrafts, etc. 16.Monitor risk assets under management and ensure the required 0%tolerance on NPLs remains. 17. Support the Head of CorporateBanking in delivering regular reports to the Management &Board, and keep management apprised of business activities. TheCorporate Banking Deputy Head will have: 1. Post-graduatequalification in a relevant discipline supplemented by broadbackground in all facets of banking. MBA is desirable. 2. ExtensiveAfrican Banking and client facing experience. 3. Extensiveexperience in a supervisory/management position. 4. Strongbackground in Financial Analysis and Risk Assessment. 5. Fullunderstanding and in-depth knowledge of Trade Finance, StructuredFinance and Corporate Lending products, with the ability to createbespoke financing structures and negotiate with clients/prospects.6. Excellent level of business acumen and commercial awareness,including economic, cultural, and regulatory issues. 7. Strongcredit assessment skills, particularly with regards to more complexand structured facilities with an international dimension. 8.Corporate Finance Background. 9.
