We're looking for aSenior Design Manager to join our Eastern and Midlands team basedin Witham. You will initially work on an Educationproject. 

 

Location: Witham,Essex

Contract:Full time, Permanent

 

What will you be responsiblefor?

The Senior Design Managerwill be key in coordinating, interrogating, and integrating theactivities of our external design consultants to ensure that all ismanaged to programme timescales and quality standards.

Your day to day will include:

  • Manage the design process during the pre-construction andas required, the construction phase.
  • Interrogation of enquiry documents, in the form of anEmployer's Requirements.
  • Production of aContractor's Proposal document in liaison with other internaldepartments.
  • Drive innovative and costeffective solutions into the design.
  • Progressdesign issues within a strict timescale & ensure designers meetinformation delivery dates.

This role of SeniorDesign Manager is great for you if:

  • Experience of delivering high value, complex design workfrom the main contractor perspective.
  • Abilityto organise, plan, programme and manage workloads.
  • Understanding of Building Regulations and PlanningPermission procedures.
  • Understanding of DFEprojects
  • Experience of site/contractprocedures would be an advantage
