This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions.

UKAEAs Apprenticeship Scheme will allow you to gain the technical knowledge practical experience and wider skills and behaviours needed for your immediate job role and future career. The successful apprentice will gain this through the combination of formal offthejob training and the opportunity to apply these skills in a real work environment through onthejob training. 

The Role

As a Cybernetics Degree Apprentice you will play a pivotal role in learning how to design create commission and test remote handling components assemblies and equipment in accordance with current engineering and legislative codes of practice.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Complete national academic qualification as defined by the apprenticeship training standard: Robotics engineer degree / Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education
  • Attend designated training provider develop and attain a good knowledge of technical skills.
  • Represent the UKAEA Organisation and attend external outreach and careers events.

Qualifications :

  • 5 GCSES A*C (94) including Maths and English and 3 A Levels (96 UCAS points) or Equivalent
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate an interest and aptitude for chosen area of work.
