A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FOOD AND BEVERAGE OPERATIONS MANAGER AT THE PRINCIPAL YORK 

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Head of Food and Beverage, working alongside two other Food and Beverage Operations Managers. 

Responsibile and accountable for leading all aspects of the Food and Beverage Operation across the hotel, including, Refectory Restaurant, Chapter House Bar and Garden Room. 

Responsible and accountable for recruitment, induction, managing and training the team, including the Team Leaders and Hosts. 

Responsible and accountable for delivering coaching and training to your team to ensure the highest standards are delivered and guest expectation is consistently exceeded. Accountable for fulfilling the daily check lists in place in all outlets.

To succeed in the role of Food and Beverage Operations Manager, you will need the following qualities and skills:

  • Experience of supporting a team
  • Be able to roster and plan
  • Experience in ordering and costing
  • Experience in training and coaching
  • Experience in hospitality and Food and Beverage.
