As our new Strategy & Inventory Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting with analysing and the optimisation of customer treatments to achieve a positive outcome for our customers through the strategic use of Cabot Account inventory. This will include inventory analysis, report building and assisting in making recommendations to automate the current manual tasks within the area.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyse account inventory and its performance to make recommendations to improve both performance and processes.
  • Understand the impact of strategy changes and how it’s impacts account movements and performance.
  • Development of prototype reports to monitor & optimise inventory and understanding of account movements once movement has been completed.
  • Employment of appropriate quality assurance techniques to ensure accuracy and validity of results.
  • Clear communication of results, insight and recommendations using effective supporting material. Delivery followed up with email succinctly communicating the principal findings and resulting recommendations.
  • Managing strategy and inventory account queries and providing recommendations to the Customer Engagement & Decisioning Department.
  • Support other members of the Customer Engagement & Decisioning department in the delivery of their projects.
  • The proactive identification of new commercial and strategic opportunities through the analysis and assessment of Cabot’s inventory, such as new placement streams, or the potential for new collections strategies.
  • Undertaking inventory account analysis as and when required, such as understanding customer journeys or account movement history.
  • Inventory consultancy for internal stakeholders, including providing information on the company wide Inventory position, or supporting in the delivery of ad-hoc business projects.
  • Managing high risk accounts through the high-risk release policy steps and monitoring outcomes.
  • Maintain high levels of data quality for all inventory.
  • Ensuring inventory management activities are undertaken with a high level of risk control.
  • Carry out any ad hoc duties as required by management.


We are looking for someone with:

  • A working knowledge of SQL
  • PC literate. MS Excel to an advanced level
  • Highly numerate and detail oriented
  • Experience of working with large data sets, particularly with customer and transactional data
  • Confident to deliver projects to senior members and business partners.
  • Good communicator: verbal, written, and with the ability to bring results and recommendations to life
