Maintenance Engineer

Commutable from Saffron Walden, Sudbury, Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket
£30,000 - £45,000 + Overtime

Monday - Friday (flexible hours)

Our client is a building services manufacturer, that values hard work, and teamwork. They operate across a number of sites in the UK, and have a number of international customers that they supply to. They are looking for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer who wants to join a close team and develop their skills.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • PPMs and reactive maintenance on Plastic Molding and Metal Cutting machines
  • Working with single and three-phase power, control systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs
  • Handle machine installation, commissioning, and decommissioning
  • Track spare parts inventory and maintain stock levels
  • Working closely with the Head of Maintenance
  • Act as point of contact when manager is absent
  • Train machine operators on maintenance tasks
  • Facilities and site services

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Plastic and metals experience
  • Must have experience with single and three-phase power, control systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs
  • BTEC Level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent - Desirable
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations - Desirable
