We are looking for anexperienced Facilities Technician to join our fantastic team atRoxby House, Scunthorpe

JobPurpose 

To coordinate with the FacilitiesTeam and to ensure that a high quality facilities service isprovided

The successful candidate will beexpected to:

  • Liaise with externalcontractors on work required beyond the scope of generalmaintenance and to report and advise the Facilities Manager andRegistered Manager, as required
  • Advise relevantstaff members as required on all matters relating to plantmachinery and equipment, including safety, state of repair and thepurchasing of new equipment
  • Ensure that alltools, equipment and machinery is maintained, used and storedcorrectly and safely
  • Ensure that all tools areavailable, in good repair, and accounted for at alltimes
  • Keep relevant records accurate and up todate
  • Travel to the other areas of the site orto suppliers to carry out any roleresponsibilities 
  • Respond timely and withflexibility to urgent or last minute staff/service requirements asa service providing function of theCentre
  • Support other members of the Facilitiesteam to look after properties on the site and with work thatrequires extra members of staff to complete thetask 
  • Contribute to the writing of riskassessments and procedures for maintenance tasks, in accordancewith Company policies
  • Take part in the on callrota 
  • Provide a weekly account of all workcompleted
  • Operates at all times in accordancewith company policies and procedures, with particular reference toSafeguarding, Child Protection and Health and Safetypolicies

GeneralDuties

  • Maintain cleanliness andgeneral tidiness of all external hardareas
  • Clean and clear all drains and gullies toensure effective and healthy operation
  • Inspectoutside fabric of building, report/repair defects asappropriate
  • Inspect all fences, gates, walls,steps, lights, etc. Report/repair defects asappropriate
  • To undertake associated groundschecks, and to respond to and undertake emergency groundsworks
