• Take on ahigh profile and influential role working with internal andexternal stakeholders to drive visibility and support for ourengineering strategy
• We’ll look to you tomanage the strategic end-to-end engineering requirements for abusiness unit
• You’ll be leading teams to meetkey strategic milestones by driving vision and having a holisticview of thebusiness

As an EngineeringDirector, you’ll be delivering key engineering milestones thatsupport our Banking as a Service strategic commitments. You’llfoster a culture of collaboration and quality to make sure ourengineering, security engineering and architecture functions buildwell-architected, extensible, scalable and resilient bankingsystems and customerpropositions.

You’ll alsobe:

• Overseeing themanagement of your engineering group and acting as the highestauthority on high-level and complex decisions within thefunction
• Contributing to the development of abank-wide engineering strategy and overseeing the execution ofplans
• Responsible for the software delivery ofall engineering teams, collaborating with key colleagues to defineroadmap and plans
• Developing and coachingcolleagues within the engineering businessarea
• Proactively planning for the growth andsuccession of others as the bankdevelops

We’relooking for a technical expert with the ability to understandcomplex technology architectures and secure software developmentlifecycle. You’ll bring experience of leading large engineeringteams in a high-tech finance environment, paired with analyticaland quantitative knowledge, and the ability to use data to makedecisions.

In addition, you’llneed:

• Experience ofleading change initiatives through your teams, with the ability tocollaborate
• Technical knowledge relevant tosoftware engineering, such as coding standards, continuousintegration or continuous deployment, platform engineering, andoperational excellence
• Experience of workingwith different areas of the business and presenting at boardlevel
• The ability to operate at a range oflevels in terms of big picture strategic thinking, thoughtleadership and data and analysis
• Experience ofworking in cloud based environments
• Experienceof leading local and offshore teams
