To be considered for an interview, please make sure your application is full in line with the job specs as found below.You've come to the right place.Find out about our current jobs, how to apply and how to organise a work experience placement.This is a key role within a busy NHS in-house Legal Team that deals with some of the most complex and high-profile legal work in the NHS.Main duties of the job Reporting to the Trust Solicitor, the post holder will have sole internal conduct of all clinical negligence claims and personal injury claims against the Trust (including public liability and employer's liability claims). The post holder will have the ability to recognise when to escalate a situation for internal advice and external legal advice and will work closely with NHS Resolution.The post holder will support the Trust Solicitor, Trust Barrister and Deputy Trust Solicitors to ensure that all policies, procedures and activities in relation to claims and potential claims comply with the Civil Procedure Rules, incorporating the Pre-Action Protocol, and that guidance and instructions on claims handling issued by NHS Resolution are regularly reviewed and procedures updated.Working for our organisation GOSH is committed to recruiting the best person for the job, based solely on their ability and individual merit as measured against the criteria for the role; through a process that is fair, open, consistent and free from bias and discrimination.We are committed to being a diverse and inclusive employer and foster a culture where all staff are valued, respected and acknowledged. Degree level qualification or equivalent experience (Graduate, Fellow or equivalent member) or Law Degree or considerable relevant experience assisting in the management of clinical negligence claims.Evidence of continued professional development.Experience/Knowledge

Experience of working in a claims capacity, either in an in-house Legal Team or in private practice.Ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with staff at all levels and liaise in a professional manner with external stakeholders.Ability to respond effectively to changing demands and meet tight timescales determined by external forces such as NHS Resolution and Panel Solicitors.Knowledge of NHSR Reporting Guidelines & requirements & the Pre-Action Protocol for the Resolution of Clinical Disputes.Knowledge and understanding of HM Coronial Services.Skills/Abilities

Excellent written and oral communication skills.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent computer skills with proven knowledge of databases and spreadsheets.Strong organisational skills with a methodical approach in all aspects of work.Strong work ethic and enthusiasm.Self-motivating and proactive.Please be advised that:
