Planner/Senior Planner/Principal Planner

Location: Castleford

We are partnering with a well-established, multidisciplinary property and planning consultancy to find a skilled Town Planner, Senior Town Planner, or Principal Town Planner to join their growing team in Castleford. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to work flexibly from both home and the office. You will be involved in a variety of exciting projects across residential, commercial, change of use, and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), among others.

As part of one of Castleford's largest planning teams, you will contribute to delivering high-quality planning services to a wide range of clients. Whether you're early in your career or an experienced Principal Planner, this role offers opportunities for personal and professional development within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planner: Support with planning applications, research, site appraisals, and liaise with local authorities.
• Senior Planner: Manage and prepare planning applications, appeals, and EIA reports while mentoring junior team members.
• Principal Planner: Lead complex projects, manage client relationships, drive business development, and guide and mentor the planning team.

Key Requirements:

• Planner: A strong understanding of UK planning systems, excellent research and communication skills.
• Senior Planner: MRTPI accreditation (or working towards) with at least two years of post-graduation experience, including experience in planning applications and EIA work.
• Principal Planner: MRTPI accreditation with three or more years of experience, a strong background in managing large projects, client management, and business development.
