Location: Chester /Liverpool / Manchester - Hybrid Site/ Office /Home

What will you be responsiblefor?
As DesignManager you will be a key part of the project team, working closelywith project lead at pre construction and throughoutdelivery.
There is no such thing as a "typical" day inConstruction however your day to day duties may include, but not belimited to :
- Responsibility for the management and delivery of designinformation in accordance with the agreed design programme anddeliverable schedule.
- Ensuring that ourappointed design consultants carry out their duties in line withtheir appointment, interrogating returns to ensure compliance withstandards and brief.
- Design input atboth preconstruction and construction stage ofprojects.
- Assessing, mitigating and managingrisks connected with design
- ensuring designsand design work meets health and safety legislation, sustainablebuilding standards (such as BREEAM – the Building ResearchEstablishment's Environmental Assessment Method) and industry codesof practice
- chairing design meetings, writingreports and giving presentations.
- Theproduction of design programmes, design scopes, designresponsibility matrices, appointments, schedules.
- Record progress and carry out uplinereporting,
- Attending/chair necessary meetingsand workshops with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensuring that the design is compliant to relevantlegislation and technical requirements.
What are we lookingfor?
This role ofDesign Manager is great for you if you candemonstrate:
- Experiencein Design Management of Dfe projects (essential)
- Demonstrable experience in a design role within amain contractor environment or within Architectural Practicefocussed on project delivery phase.
- Experienceof BIM level 2 projects
- Comfort in use ofREVIT Autodesk, BIM 360 and MS Project
