A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CONFERENCING AND EVENTS TEAM MEMBER AT THE PRINCIPAL YORK

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Head of Conferencing and Events, you can expect your working day to include the following.

  • To be responsible for events spaces, keeping buffets fully stocked with fresh dishes and clearing away dirty plates and cultery. 
  • To assist in the setting up and clearing away of our meeting and event spaces, this can from a wedding to a large conference. 
  • To be responsible for the cleaniness of all areas, to the meeting and events spaces, to the event bars. 
  • To have knowledge of different food services techniques to serve all food correct and to the required standard.

To succeed in the role of Conferencing and Events Team Member, you will need the following qualities and skills. 

  • Experience of working in a medium to large hotel, preferably within a Conferencing and Events and/or Bar Teams.
  • Experience of working within a customer focused role
  • Able to work a variety of horus, including, days, evenings and weekends.
