Our Network Engineering Manager iscurrently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled MaintenanceEngineer (known internally as Network Sortation Engineer) to helpstrengthen our existing team and deliver outstanding service to ourNetwork of Depots around theUK. 

In this role you will cover anumber of Depots across South East and London ensuring thatequipment is maintained and any repairs are carried out as quicklyas possible so that they can continue to deliver world classservice to our customers. 

The Depots thatwill be within your remit include; Barking,Burgess Hill, Chelmsford, Crawley, Dagenham, Dartford,Enfield, Gatwick, London City, London South, Maidstone, NorthLondon, Sittingbourne, Thames,Westerham

You will be responsiblefor all aspects of maintenance and breakdowns on sortationequipment from both an electrical and mechanicalperspective. 

Other Key responsibilities ofthis role will be; 

  • Responding toBreakdowns with Extensive fault finding (both electrical andmechanical)
  • Completion of adhoc job requestsfor  repairs on all Sortationequipment
  • Carrying out all PPM and reactivemaintenance of our Sortationequipment. 
  • Carrying out servicing work,including the completion of service reports and internal systems asrequired. 
  • Using SCADA systems to aidfault finding of all sortationsystems.
  • Liaising with other departmentsincluding Security, Operations and IT regarding maintenance andrepair work in line with business and operationalrequirements.
  • Adhering to and promotion ofhealth & safety policies (includingCOSHH)

Qualifications

Tobe considered for this role you will have completed a recognisedengineering, maintenance engineering or general engineeringapprenticeship or hold an appropriate engineering qualification(HND/HNC) with an Electrical bias. You will be comfortable workingautonomously with the ability to self manage to deliver aneffective and timely service to your cluster of depots. We wouldalso expect;

  • Experience within a fastpaced automated environment with demonstrable experience of bothelectrical and mechanicalrepair. 
  • Excellent problem solving skillswith an ability to work effectively under pressure and within Timeconstraints
  • Demonstrate high levels ofresilience, self-motivation and flexibility.
  • Astrong team player  with a “can do” mentality towardswork. 
  • Demonstrate the core DPD DNA valuesof Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Hard Work andAccountability.
  • A full UK driving licence isrequired as travel between Depots isessential
