Whatyou'll do

As an MQ ProjectAnalyst, you’ll be supporting the team’s activities to make surethat the platform integrity is maintained in line with technicalroadmaps, while supporting change demands from domains or centresof excellence. You’ll be contributing to and supporting thedelivery of a robust production management service for relevantinfrastructure platforms.

Inaddition, you’ll be contributing to the delivery of customeroutcomes, innovation and early learning by contributing to testproducts and services to identify early on if they are viable anddeliver the desiredoutcomes.

Your role willinvolve:

  • Contributingto the platform risk culture, making sure that risks are discussedand understood at every step, and effectively collaborating tomitigate risk
  • Designing, building andmaintaining our MQ systems to customer requirements as well assupporting our application teams with testing and resolvingissues
  • Integrating our MQ systems with othersoftware and linking them to external customers andpartners
  • Participating and seeking outopportunities to simplify the platform infrastructure,architecture, services and customer solutions, guarding againstintroducing new complexity
  • Buildingrelationships with platform, domain and relevant cross-domainstakeholders
  • Making sure that controls areapplied and constantly reviewed, primarily against SOX, to ensurefull compliance to all our policies and regulatoryobligations

Theskills you'll need

To succeedin this role, you’ll need to be a very capable communicator withthe ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly tocolleagues, including management level. You’ll need a solidbackground working in an Agile or DevOps environment withcontinuous delivery and continuous integration. IIBrunning on RedHat Linux and Solaris isdesirable 

We’llalso look to you todemonstrate:

  • Strongexperience of MQ infrastructure design, configuration, and deliveryof MQ infrastructure on Z/os and, Unix as well as experience of MQclustering, shared queues, pub/sub andAMS
  • Experience ofworking with third party vendors, SSLcertificates
  • Knowledgeof relevant industry standard toolsets and processes to drive upcustomer service within an ITenvironment
  • Anunderstanding of operationalprinciples
  • Goodcollaboration and stakeholder managementskills
