About the Role:

As the Quality Management Systems Lead you will be accountable for implementing a brand new QMS, providing the structure and resources to manage Haleon Quality Standards and enterprise documentation and to lead Haleon into the future.

This role would suit a Quality professional that is looking for the opportunity to implement a global QMS in a FTSE100 company that is going through considerable transformation and, has the future aspiration to lead Quality Services at a global level.

Key Responsibilities

  • With ultimate commitment and support of the senior leaders in the company, in conjunction with the HQS and Central Services Head, the post holder is responsible to design, implement, monitor and maintain an effective consumer healthcare quality management system.

  • Lead and direct a team of Quality Standard managers and coordinators.

  • Manage Haleon quality management system (QMS) senior stakeholders globally..

  • Assure the establishment of Quality Standards and related centrally managed documentation in compliance with core regulatory requirements.

  • In collaboration with Business Units and global cross functional teams, establish a network of expertise in alignment with the company purpose and BU strategies.

  • Collaborate with and across business units and relevant global functions for effective and visible support, ensuring implementation of the Haleon quality management system throughout the organization.

  • Define individual and collective roles, responsibilities, decision making authorities and inter-dependency between different roles and teams related to the quality management system, process, standards and compliance.

  • Advocate and drive continual improvement and simplification by leveraging technology, digital, data and analytics as well as people capability and change management.

  • Have oversight and conduct periodic management reviews of the quality management system to ensure the quality systems remain suitable, effective; communicate the outcome of the review to senior management, including accomplishment, issues, risks, required changes and improvement actions or plan.

  • Stay relevant not just internally but externally - to keep abreast of the evolution of quality and regulatory intelligence and advocacy for Haleon quality management system by setting a network and by participating in external forums such as expert working group, benchmarking exercise etc.

  • Develop talent and robust succession plans within the team and work with the wider organization and cross Business Units to advocate rotation of quality talents between central quality and operations quality, to maintain talented and capable team members in key business roles.

  • Lead a motivated, high performing, sustainable team who is excited for everything we do - delivering an always inspection ready Quality environment, for all areas subject to internal and external quality/GxP/regulatory inspection.

Qualifications & Skills: 

Essential:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree or, relative experience in similar senior positions

  • Excellent knowledge of quality standards, processes and compliance / GxP practices and requirements in the areas of:

    • Quality Management Systems

    • Regulatory and legal requirements governing the development, manufacturing and supply of products

    • Strong technical writing ability

    • Strong communication ability

Preferred:

  • Professional experience in a scientific based organisation where similar Regulatory and Quality standards are required

  • Knowledge of the Healthcare or other regulated businesses and good understanding of a matrix organisation

  • Proven experience in a Supervisory / Team Management position

  • Regional / global leadership experience

  • Technical writing skills

  • Strategical thinking

  • Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, complex themes

  • Ability to influence without direct authority

  • Extensive knowledge of quality process, standards, and GxP compliance, health authorities and their requirements, regulations and or guidelines

  • Good understanding of similar business quality management systems / quality process, standards and compliance through past hands-on operational experiences such as participating in the design, implementation and practical use of the quality systems

  • Excellent interpersonal & leadership skills. Ability to influence & to communicate ideas in a collaborative & professional manner.

  • Fluent in English. Knowledge of other languages a plus
