As Manufacturing Line Lead you will beresponsible for people, plant, product, and process deliveryagainst clearly defined role outputs, with specific responsibilityfor developing, managing, and leading a manufacturingteam.


AsManufacturing Line Lead your key responsibilities willinclude:

  • The day-to-day management of your team ensuringperformance meets agreed targets andstandards
  • Taking the lead in the DailyDirection Setting with a loss focused approach to the plan of theday
  • Daily Management System owner of key areasincluding Clean Inspection Lubrication, Incident Elimination,Defect Handling and daily weekly and monthly directionsetting
  • Ensuring high levels of quality,safety, and hygiene by maintaining procedures and statutory/companyguidelines
  • Leading and supporting a culture ofengaged and motivated colleagues
  • Coachingmembers of your team by conducting regular monitoring andappraisals to ensure skills and competency levels are developed todeliver the highest levels of customersatisfaction
  • Effectively manage and deliverplanning of resources to achieve and exceed KPI’s (cost, quality,service)
  • Achieving production and conformanceto plan targets and maintaining control of stock andwaste
  • Accepting responsibility and takingownership of problems, seeing change as anopportunity
  • Ensuring compliance with Qualityprocesses delivering Right First TimeProduction
  • Liaising with internal / externalcustomers, colleagues and other third parties to deliver and exceedcustomer expectations
  • Demonstrating a duty ofcare to all employees whilst adopting the Positive AttendanceManagement protocols
  • Where necessary, conductdisciplinary and grievance meetings ensuring adherence to companydisciplinary and grievance policies


Working hours

The working hours for the role are Monday to Friday7.30am-4pm with 24/7 responsibility for the area. Also, theflexibility for shift working patterns and extended covershifts

Theideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role in a foodmanufacturing setting (Shift Manager / ProductionManager)
  • The ability to lead and coach a teamto deliver a safety-first customer focusedculture
  • Proven track record in deliveringagainst production and manufacturingKPIs/SLAs
  • The ability to lead and manage a teamworking across shifts over 24 hours
  • Excellentcommunication skills combined with logical problem-solvingskills
  • High level of personal responsibilityand accountability for results
  • The ability torespond positively to changing demands with a can-doapproach
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturingprinciples and six sigma (desirable)
